Job Description For Application Engineer Vacancies In Al Masaood 2022
About the job:
To prepare proposals that are following the project and authorities’ specifications, this also includes the approvals of the submittals for the offered solution.
Core Responsibilities:
- Solid understanding of PV (Solar Panels), inverters, Battery energy storage system, microgrid system design to provide solutions to customer needs.
- Develop microgrid systems including development of standard designs, detailed BOQ, level costing, cost roadmap and cost-optimization plan.
- Techno-commercial assessment of new business opportunities including developing business models, preparing reports and presentations, preparation of Site-specific Designs, BOQ, Energy simulation using Various Software’s (Helioscope, HOMER Pro etc), Cost analysis and Cost optimization.
- Conduct PV Sizing and selection.
- Conduct comprehensive site visits and attentive to details.
- Conduct research and analysis to find the best-fit components suitable for integration into systems based on the application, operation load profile and mission of the final products stipulated by the customer / consultant / end users’ requirements.
- Support the sales team with technical market intelligence.
- Full awareness of PV technologies and industry trends.
- Develop templates for quick commercial evaluation of project opportunities including CAPEX, OPEX estimations, cash flow analysis for project financing.
- Configure the system integration and specify the specifications to suppliers.
- Verify sub-suppliers’ technical proposals and its compliance with the project/client requirements.
- Prepare technical submittals of Microgrid solutions and follow up technical approvals.
- Present technical features of Microgrid solutions to customer / consultants / end users.
- Prepare the final BOM to the suppliers prior to placing the orders.
Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor of Electrical Engineering.
- 6 years proven experience in PV, Battery Storage and Microgrid system projects design, calculation, and configuration.
- 2+ years of experience in System costing for Microgrids
Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent in Helioscope, HOMER Pro…. etc. Simulation tools.
- Possess strong communication abilities.
- Excellent mathematical skills and the capacity
- Facilitate teamwork across departments.
- Proven network within the industry specially consultants and end users (PV / Microgrid Systems).
- Perfect command of written & spoken English.
- Excellent in MS Office Applications: Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
- Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor
