SMG – Service Management Group is hiring a Recruitment Assistant to join our team!

As a Recruitment Assistant, you must possess exceptional time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills as well as superb administration and people skills. Our ideal candidate has 1-2 years of experience as a recruitment or HR assistant, is a detail-oriented team player and a fast learner with a “Can Do” attitude.

This is what you will be doing:

  • Managing the applicant tracking system
  • Scheduling interviews and proctoring assessments
  • Documenting recruitment processes and creating recruitment guides
  • Managing background checks
  • Processing new hire data, updating and maintaining relevant records
  • Responding to applicants in a timely and professional manner
  • Posting, updating, and monitoring job ads on job boards
  • Assisting with all recruitment administration

You are a perfect match for this role if you have:

  • Office Administration and/or Secretarial studies or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • 1+ years’ experience as an HR, Recruitment or Administrative Assistant or in a related role
  • Experience using software applications such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members
  • Excellent command of English, written and spoken, with impeccable business correspondence skills
  • Experience with Zoom, Teams or other web video conferencing software
  • Acute attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Ability to take high level direction and execute with minimal feedback
  • Ability to handle and protect confidential information
  • Strong work ethics and passion for doing things right

Good to have:

  • College degree with emphasis in HR, Office Administration, or related field
  • Experience with JazzHR applicant tracking system
